Be the bookie. The only people to win at gambling are the bookies. Well, that’s what we are told. So, you decide to become a bookie, you join a lay tipping service and start laying horses to lose. Do you get the profits that the adverts promised? No! In fact, you probably lose money and then blame the tipping service. Here’s why you lose:

I looked at a web site that proofs laying systems which are for sale. Only 55% of the systems that were being proofed were profitable at SP. The remaining 45% weren’t even profitable at SP! Now, as a layer, you can’t usually lay at SP on a betting exchange. Layer’s odds, on a betting exchange, are about 20% bigger. In addition, betting exchanges usually take a commission of 5% on winning bets. When you take these two factors into account, only 15% of the systems being proofed were now profitable.

In addition, there is a subscription fee for a lay tipping service. When you take this into account, precious few systems make a profit.

Also, all systems go through their good and bad times. My system included. Losses during the bad times can wipe out the profits made during the good times - and more besides!

So, that’s why you can’t make money laying horses using a tipping service. It’s that simple!

Or can you?

The only way that we can see of making laying pay is to trade/arbitarge some of your selections. If you don’t, you will probably lose as a layer. But then, you have probably found that out already. If you aren’t familiar with trading/arbitraging, no matter, we’ll explain how and when to arbitrage/trade and, when not to.

Why is a high strike rate so important?

Because, it isn’t always possible to arbitrage or trade your bet for a profit - in which case - you have two options - close out the bet for a loss or let the bet stand. If you use a system with a high strike rate, you have the option of not closing out your bet for a loss. You can let it stand. If you use a system with a low strike rate - you don’t have this option.

There’s a lot of tipsters and systems in this big, bad world - but there’s none quite like me and mine. Why? Because I’m unique and so is my system.

Why am I and my system unique?
Because I use a combination of statistics and psychic ability.

Why do I use a combination of statistics and psychic ability? Because one system alone isn’t powerful enough to ensure success.

Why isn’t one system alone powerful to ensure success?
Because although the statistical system that I have developed is over 85% accurate I don’t consider it to be accurate enough. In the past, I applied a number of different filters to the system and although they eliminated some losing bets, they also eliminated some winning bets. The result was that the strike rate remained at 85% - no matter how many filters I applied and no matter how I applied them. The reason for this is that some horses, even though they have no chance of winning on paper, defy the odds and the statistics and win anyway.

I was on the point of giving up trying to improve the system’s strike rate when I decided to apply my psychic powers to the problem. You may not believe in the psychic world and I’m not asking you to. In fact, I’m not sure how much I believe. However, I gave it a shot. I used my statistical system to identify the selections and used my psychic powers as a filter to eliminate those selections which I felt would defy the statistics and win anyway. The results surprised even me. The strike rate increased to over 90%.

So why isn’t the system 100%?
Firstly, it is based upon a statistical system which isn’t 100% accurate. And, neither is anyone else’s for that matter! If you find one – please let me know!

Secondly, sometimes my powers don’t ‘switch on’ at all or they ‘switch on’ too late for them to be of any practical use.
